Waterproofing & flood test

Done to AS 3740 by a licensed waterproofer. 24-hour flood test, no shortcuts. Compliance certificate handed to you before a single tile.

Tiling, fit-off & finishing

Straight grout, matched lippage, sealed properly. Same licensed trades from rough-in to fit-off. Low-VOC paint, neat silicone, full clean down.

Final inspection & handover

Pre-construction

Define the vision. Lock the plan.

We sit down with you, walk the site, and shape the vision, budget and scope together. You receive a detailed itemised quote to review at your own pace. Once you accept, we sign a written contract, arrange the permit if your project needs one, and put Domestic Building Insurance in place. Then we guide you through every selection — tiles, tapware, vanities — so by the time tools are picked up, every decision is made.

Construction

Strip back. Build right.

Your bathroom is fully stripped back to raw framework. Carpentry lock-up and structural prep come first. Electrical and plumbing rough-in is completed behind the walls before anything closes up. Plastering, insulation, then waterproofing — applied, flood-tested and signed off by an independent inspection. This is non-negotiable at every Lilac project. Then tiling, fixing carpentry, painting, fit-off, fixtures, shower screen, final clean.

Handover

Certificates in hand. Done.

Waterproofing, electrical and plumbing compliance certificates are all issued. These are legally required in Victoria and they are non-negotiable. They protect you now, at resale, and for any future claim. We walk through the finished bathroom together to make sure everything meets your expectations. All certificates, warranties and documentation are placed in your hands. Your new bathroom is ready.
